Please use the directions below to arrive at the Randall based on where you live. Please note that factors such as construction, weather, and other obstructions beyond our control may alter these directions. If you are still in doubt then you may contact the museum at (415)554-9600.

From the EAST BAY:
Once across the Bay Bridge, take the Mission/Duboce exit, which is right after the 9th St. exit. Follow the signs to Duboce St. Drive forward straight off the ramp onto Duboce. Stay on Duboce, driving up the hill until it runs into Market St. Turn left onto Market St. and get in the right lane. Pass the shopping center on your right and take a soft right up 14th St. After crossing Castro St., take a left at the stop sign onto Roosevelt Way. Continue uphill to the next stop sign and turn left on Museum Way.

From the NORTH (Golden Gate Bridge):
Once across bridge, follow signs for Hwy. 101/Downtown. Take the Lombard St. exit and get into right hand lane. Turn right on Divisadero. Continue for 2.4 miles. Turn right on 14th St. Turn left at the stop sign, onto Roosevelt Way. Continue uphill to the next stop sign and turn left on Museum Way.

From the WEST & SOUTH:
From Hwy. 280, follow signs for Hwy 1. Follow righthand lanes onto Junipero Serra, which becomes Portola. Portola feeds into upper Market. Take a left at the signal for Clayton St. Turn right at the 2nd signal, 17th St., and make the 1st left onto Roosevelt Way. Turn right at the 2nd stop sign onto Museum Way.

From within the city of San Francisco

From the East within the City:
From Market St. turn right onto 14th st @ Church St. After crossing Castro St., turn left at the stop sign (Roosevelt Way). Continue uphill to the next stop sign and turn left on Museum Way.

From the North within the City:
Drive south on Masonic Ave., cross the Panhandle, continue past Haight St. up and over the hill to a 5-way stop. The last block of Masonic bends gently left and drops downhill one block onto Roosevelt Way. Turn left on Roosevelt and turn right at the stop sign onto Museum Way.

Muni Directions:
24 Divisadero to Castro at 14th. Catch the 37 Corbett on the northwest corner. You can also catch the 37 Corbett at the southwest corner of Haight & Masonic. OR, as the 37 Corbett runs infrequently and is not always predictable, take the 24 Divisadero or the K, L, or M to 17th and Market (Castro St. Station) and follow the walking directions below.

Walking Directions:
Walk up Roosevelt Way from 14th St. above Divisadero (about 1/2 mile) to Museum Way. Or, for a shorter but steeper path, walk from Market and Castro north to States St. (on left) and up States St. until you see the playground on the right. Walk up the ramp across from the playground to the Museum's parking lot.
