Join Don Machholz for an evening presentation about eighteenth-century astronomer Charles Messier, who is famous for compiling The Messier Catalogue, an extensive list of galaxies, star clusters, and nebula. All 110 of the objects documented in the catalogue can be observed in one night. This "Messier Marathon", which Machholz helped to design and promote, will be described in the presentation. |
